Find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce
It's a confusing time when you may feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you've never faced before. You don't have to go through it alone. Led by people who understand how you feel because they have been in the same place, DivorceCare is a support group that meets weekly for 13 sessions to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
Weekly seminar topics: What's Happening to Me? -- The Road to Healing / Finding Help -- Facing My Anger -- Facing My Depression -- Facing My Loneliness -- What Does the Owner's Manual Say? -- New Relationships -- Financial Survival -- KidCare -- Single Sexuality -- Forgiveness -- Reconciliation -- Moving On, Growing Closer to God
Hundreds of thousands of people have participated in DivorceCare groups across the country. Here is feedback in their own words:
- “It changed my life at a time when I thought my life was over.”
- “I am at peace.”
- "I promise it will be worth it 100 times over if you just take the leap of faith and go.”
- “Within minutes I felt accepted and safe.”
- “Gave me hope and tools to move on.”
The groups meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:45-8:30 p.m. at Trinity House in Greenwich. There is no cost for attending; workbooks are $15 but scholarships are available.
The Fall 2017 group began on Sept. 12. Each session is "self-contained" so you are welcome to join the group at any point.
There will be a special session on Nov. 7 on "Surviving the Holidays" and you are welcome to come to this evening, even if you are not attending any of the other sessions this fall.
