We seek to demonstrate the love of God in tangible and practical ways that result in lasting change. Whether it is as part of the set-up team on a Sunday morning at Trinity, volunteering in a partner organization in this area, or being part of a short-term missions trip overseas, we hope you will find a place where you can serve.
There are many ways that you can lend a helping hand, and put your unique skills, abilities and experiences to use, all the while getting to know those in the church family even better as you serve side-by-side.
Here are current serving opportunities:
Sunday Morning Lobby team: As a mobile church, we unload and set-up each and every Sunday morning then pack up several hours later. While the tech team takes care of the worship service needs, a group of volunteers readies the lobby for the buzz of activity to come. Contact: email@example.com
Connection Team: Every Sunday is someone’s first Sunday! Help create a warm and welcoming environment for first-time guests to encounter Jesus; help newcomers navigate Trinity and discover their next steps. Roles: Greeter, Get Connected Table, Welcome Breakfast Host. Contact: Katie Evans, Connections Pastor, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sunday Morning Coffee Hour: For an easy way to serve the church family, consider contributing something tasty for Coffee Hour between the services on Sundays. Just bring store-bought or homemade bite-sized sweet, savory or gluten-free treats on disposable plates, and place them on the table anytime before the first service lets out. No need to sign up. All donations are greatly appreciated. Contact: email@example.com
A great way to get connected with local service opportunities is to join one of our Mission-Shaped Communities (MSC). For example, Trinity Men's Local Social Outreach MSC regularly takes on day projects that benefit local organizations as well as members of Trinity who are in need of extra assistance.
We also hold regular churchwide outreach activities, such as Trinity's annual Thanksgiving Food and Bedding Collection, backpack builds, Operation Christmas Child, and respond to local emergencies.
Trinity's primary local partners:
- Chester Addison Community Center (Stamford, CT)
- Elinor Martin Residence for Mother & Child (New Rochelle, NY)
- Neighbor to Neighbor (Greenwich, CT)
- Neighbors Link (Stamford, CT)
- New Covenant Center (Stamford, CT)
Trinity groups that provide opportunities to serve locally include:
Trinity has always felt called to serve those further afield and has a long history of serving the Lord in places such as Rwanda, Jamaica and Uganda.
Currently our primary overseas partners are World Vision, International Justice Mission, JENGA and Partners in Health.
The Valentine Family, members of our Trinity community, are currently serving the Lord in Uganda with JENGA, and our Student Ministries has a vibrant relationship with a community in Jamaica.
In May 2016 we took the first of what we hope will become regular opportunities to go to Uganda and work with JENGA.
