Our Middle School Ministry at Trinity is a great place for 6th-8th grade students to come and feel known, accepted and loved. Middle school is both an exciting and turbulent time as students begin to discover and shape their identity. We want to come alongside them, love them exactly the way they are and provide environments for them to experience the love of Jesus.
SUNDAY MORNING YOUTH GROUP
At the Greenwich location, we gather at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. every Sunday morning to play games, laugh and have fun, connect with one another, and connect to God through worship and teaching. While the 9:15 a.m. youth service is tailored more towards middle school, all students are welcome to come to either one! We meet in the Staff Cafeteria that is located off of the Student Center. For questions about the middle school and high school youth group at the Greenwich location, please email Josh at email@example.com.
At the Darien location, middle school students are dismissed for Youth Group partway through the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Youth staff lead students to Youth Group on the 2nd floor of Darien Library and take them back downstairs at the end of the service. Youth Group program includes music, games, community-building, and a discussion-based lesson from the Bible taught by the Youth staff. Adult volunteers will also be present at Youth Group. For questions about the middle school youth group at the Darien location, please email Rico at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We were created to experience life with other people, and that's why we have midweek gender/grade specific small groups called "Huddles." Led by caring adults, these are times when students can share honestly what is on their hearts, grow in their relationship with Jesus and receive encouragement, all while creating deep and lasting friendships.
At Trinity, Confirmation is a very special 10-week course for 8th graders in which we look at the foundations of our Christian faith. We talk about things such as the Bible, God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Church, faith and prayer. It's a great time for students to ask questions and share their thoughts as they explore the Christian faith at a more in-depth level. Confirmation typically begins in February. A few members of the 2017 Confirmation class had this to say about the experience:
