Please note that the 2019 Women's Retreat will be postponed to a later date.
Our speaker, Jenn Eckart, fainted this week while sick with the flu and hit her head, resulting in a concussion. Her doctor has told her to remain on bedrest for the next couple weeks. Please join us in prayers for Jenn for a swift and full recovery. And pray also for a new date to open to reschedule the retreat.
An Extraordinary Life
God created you to be extraordinary. Learn to step into the extraordinary in your daily life on this retreat journey with speaker Jenn Eckart. Sharing stories from her own life, Jenn, through an intimate walk with Jesus, will take us from white-knuckled fear, to approaching life with open hands; from a place of desolation to an abundantly joyful garden of the soul; and share with us how to widen our circle of influence to spread joy to others.
Following the format of last year's Women's Retreat, the 2019 Women's Retreat will be held at the Trinity Ministry Center on Friday night and all day Saturday, January 25 & 26. We'll have large group sessions, small group discussions, worship and prayer, and three meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch). Come join us for an amazing time of relaxation, fellowship, and inspiration!
About Our Speaker:
After divorce and a bout with cancer, Jenn Eckart left the corporate world she was trained for and became a full-time rock musician, earned her Master of Divinity at Yale Divinity School (she did her supervised ministry for Yale at Trinity with Beth Bull as her mentor), and became a pastor-at-large, starting both her own successful band, Green Eyed Lady, and her own non-profit providing pastoral care to those outside of any church community. Jenn is happily remarried to her fellow musician/pastor husband Rick, and together they lead Trinity’s DivorceCare program. Hallmarks of her ministry include her risk-taking faith, authentic care for people and the creativity with which she approaches everything she does. She may be one of the only people you will meet who can turn a rock music gig at a club into a healing prayer moment on the dance floor and back to rocking out again, leaving changed lives in her wake.
