About Trinity Youth Local Service Trip
God has a huge heart for justice, for the poor and marginalized, and for the younger generation—and Trinity wants to reflect that heart through service opportunities not just for our adults, but for our students as well. Hence . . . our second annual Trinity Youth Local Service Trip! This event is a great way for students to participate in bringing God’s restoration and hope to people right here in our communities.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK
Starts: Thursday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m.
Ends: Friday, August 23 at 3:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Middle School students will kick off their Local Service Trip with an evening of fun followed by a sleepover! Boys and girls will sleep at separate houses that night, and gather together on Friday morning to serve at various organizations in Stamford. (Pick-up at 4:00 p.m.; location details will be sent to parents.)
HIGH SCHOOL TRACK
Starts: Friday, August 23 at 8:00 a.m.
Ends: Sunday, August 25 at 8:30 a.m. (followed by Beach Church)
On Friday, High School students will kick off their Local Service Trip with breakfast before heading out to serve at various organizations in Stamford. That evening they will gather for evening worship and a Hunger 101 workshop (led by CT FoodBank) before heading to girls’ and boys’ sleepovers (at separate houses!).
On Saturday, we will head into New York City for an all-day service learning experience. That evening students will gather for worship and hang-out time before heading back to their girls’ and boys’ sleepover locations.
For both Middle School and High School students, the weekend will culminate with Trinity Youth Beach Church on Sunday, August 25 at Tod’s Point in Greenwich, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We are so excited about this opportunity to serve our local community and would love to have you join us!
