Mission Statement on Generosity

  • We believe in a God of generosity – His grace and His sacrifice for us in Christ are the ultimate expressions of His generous heart.

  • We believe the Gospel calls us to live lives of generosity – marked by grace, sacrifice, and joyful giving. Generosity is not about wealth but about the posture of the heart, for where our hearts are, our treasure will follow.

  • We believe that God is the source and owner of all things – our time, talent, and treasure. We are stewards of His resources, entrusted to use them to further His Kingdom. Our money and abilities are not ours to use as we choose; they are God’s to direct as He leads.

  • We believe that when we live generously – seeking first the Kingdom of God – our lives are aligned with His eternal plan – In giving, we experience joy, deepen our relationship with Him, and bring glory to His name. We do not store up treasure on earth, but in heaven, our true home, where lasting riches are found.

  • We believe that generosity is both our calling and our joy – for God gave first, and in response, we give back with thankful hearts.

Ways to Give

There are several ways to invest financially in what God is doing at Trinity:

You may add your bank account or use your debit or credit card to make one-time or recurring online contributions. This method is safe and secure, and it only takes a few minutes to complete the steps. You will have the option of creating a secure profile that enables you to change or stop a recurring donation at any time, and allows you to view and print your online donation history.

You may place your cash or check donation (check made payable to Trinity Church) in the offering box in the lobby during a Sunday worship service. Contribution envelopes are available.

You may mail a check (made payable to Trinity Church) to: Trinity Church, 5 River Road, Cos Cob, CT 06807

You will receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of your securities at the time of donation. Appreciated securities may provide you with a greater tax benefit as compared to selling the appreciated securities and donating the resulting cash. If you or your legal representative would like to discuss bequests, charitable remainder trusts, or life income gifts, please contact the Trinity Finance Office at finance@trinitychurch.life.

If your company has a corporate matching gift program, you may “write in” a regular gift to Trinity Church.
