Christmas Gift Drive

This Christmas season, Trinity Greenwich and New Canaan | Darien are partnering with two of our Trinity Serves Partners to provide gifts for those they serve.

Join us in this year’s gift drive in support of Building One Community and Open Doors.  

Building One Community

The mission is to advance the successful integration of immigrants and their families. Our vision is one welcoming community in which all immigrants are thriving and contributing members.

Open Doors

Open Doors has been a resource for people dealing with poverty and homelessness in the greater Norwalk area for more than 40 years. With the support of our community, we help our neighbors on the path to housing stability.

- Christmas Gift Drive -

To participate:

  1. Beginning November 5, select a tag from the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Greenwich or New Canaan | Darien location on Sunday before or after the service.
  2. Purchase gift(s) following the instructions on your tag/below.
  3. Return all gifts to the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Greenwich Hyatt, Saxe Middle School OR to the Trinity Ministry Center (5 River Road, Cos Cob, CT) no later than December 3.
  4. All gifts should be returned with the tag attached.

Building One Community

A nice mix of girl, boy and gender neutral toys ages 0-12 (no teens).  

Popular past items:

  • building blocks
  • tea cup/kitchen plastic sets
  • small lego sets
  • stuffed animals
  • hot wheels
  • trucks
  • barbies and/or dolls (nice to have a wide range of diversity for our community)
  • soccer balls/basketballs

Stay away from:

  • books
  • board games
  • too educational 

The children will choose their toys, so unwrapped is best and the price range would ideally be $20-$25.  

It’s really important that the kids feel like they are all getting fair treatment with the toy selection (no huge disparities of $5 toys and $50 toys).

This year’s wish list includes:

  • wireless headphones
  • Sturdy duffle bags
  • sturdy backpacks
  • large tote bags
  • purses
  • wallets (male/female)
  • slippers
  • shower shoes

Please wrap gifts and attach with label indicating what the gift is.
